Entry for an ideas competition

Published in Dear Architecture (2015), Blank Space Publishing, New York.

» Dear Architecture, an ideas competition hosted by Blank Space, challenged designers to explore one of the most important communication tools of all time: the letter. Designers and creative from over 60 countries around the world accepted the challenge. Their best work is collected in this anthology.

The letters and illustrations featured in the book address architecture as a concept, as a social practice, and as a community. Through the solemnity and poignancy that letter-writing encourages, entrants to the competition crafted passionate reflections on architecture’s place in society. They did so without shying away from the toughest issues facing the profession, including social exclusion by way of poor urbanism, the underrepresentation of women, and architecture’s response (or lack thereof) to environmental concerns. «
