Project Experience [selection]
While studying architecture I gained interest in different approaches to practising architecture and worked for two emerging offices in Vienna and Moscow. After finalizing my degree I continued working for and with architects and artists in Rotterdam, London and Paris among others. During this period, I worked on various projects ranging from art installations, and iconic constructions to masterplans. It has been a journey through different narratives, cultures and discussions.
These years of practical experience and the insights I gained into the process of building and planning resulted in a huge critique for my own discipline and made me go (and a scholarship made it possible) to partake in the interdisciplinary M.A. programme in Research Architecture (Visual and Spatial Cultures) at Goldsmiths College London. My thesis’ title was ‘What is an Architectural Act?’.
Since 2014 I live and work in Berlin, where I have held different posts teaching and practising architecture. In 2019/2020 I was one of the founding members of the Architects for Future e.V. (Germany). I’m active within this network working on a change within the building and planning sector to meet the 1,5° goals set in Paris as well as a broader understanding of what it could mean practising architecture in the 21st century.
